Nigussu Tilahun Gebreamanuel is State Minister for Employment, Jobs, and Markets at the FDRE Ministry of Labour and Skills. Nigussu held the position of Commissioner for the FDRE Jobs Creation Commission prior to his current position. Moreover, Nigussu comes with an extensive background in communication and education: in the past, he has served as Head of the Press Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister, Head of Education Bureau as well head of Government Communication Affairs in Amhara Regional Government.

Nigussu received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Addis Ababa University and later a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Bahir Dar University.

Nigussu is a seasoned civil servant who has occupied various regional and federal offices with a widely-recognized activism in political reform in Ethiopia. Nigussu serves as a board member in education institutions as well as media outlets.
